J.R. Wood & Sons 14k Gold Victorian Ruby Ring

A classic ruby solitaire from the Victorian era, set in rich 14k yellow gold. The warm-toned ruby is prong-set and framed by rounded shoulders with subtle tapering. A graceful antique piece—understated yet full of character. A beautiful example of 19th-century craftsmanship, this piece wears beautifully on its own or paired with other antique favorites.

The ring was originally set with a diamond that was chipped. We removed the diamond and set it with an antique ruby from a piece we couldn‘t restore. What we love about this piece is that the prongs are seamlessly part of the ring.

J.R. Wood & Sons were Brooklyn jewelers that started their business in 1850. More than 100 years later, the business still manufactures wedding jewelry as Art Carved.
