Citrine Briolette Threader Earrings, 14k Yellow Gold

Two faceted citrine briolettes hang from fine 14k yellow gold threaders. The briolette cut is all facets and no flat table, so each stone catches light from every side as it moves: a clear, saturated orange, like late-afternoon sun on the Mystic River.

These are a Petra Star reimagining. The citrines and gold components came from fine jewelry pieces that had outlived their original form. We gave them a second life with new threader ear wires, so stones and solid gold that were sitting unworn are back in use.

Threaders slip through the piercing and drape, so you choose how far they hang, short and close for day or longer for evening. At under a gram of gold, they're light enough to forget you're wearing them.
