Art Deco Platinum Diamond & Aquamarine Earrings | Circa 1930 Reimagined | Petra Star
Some pieces are too beautifully made to disappear. These earrings began as something else entirely — a period Art Deco platinum ring, circa 1930, with twelve straight baguette diamonds set in the geometric precision that defines the era's finest work. When the ring was modified for a client, its original diamond elements remained: too rare, too exquisitely crafted to set aside.
At Petra Star, nothing with this kind of provenance gets lost.
We reimagined the platinum diamond components into earrings, sourcing a matched pair of round faceted aquamarines whose cool, clear blue reads as unmistakably Art Deco in spirit. The baguette diamonds are set in their original platinum in a quietly spectacular way: their geometry creates a natural dome effect, catching light from every angle with the kind of dimensional brilliance you simply cannot replicate in modern production work.
This is jewelry with a second life and a story worth telling — period geometry, consciously preserved, made wearable again.
