Art Deco Diamond Stickpin Conversion Necklace

This slender geometric pendant began its life as a stickpin — a hallmark of Art Deco dressing, worn at the lapel or cravat with the precision the era demanded. The design is built in cannetille goldwork, a filigree technique in which fine gold wire is coiled and twisted into dimensional textural patterns, here framing a single cut diamond in a five-prong setting at the center. It reads with quiet authority: architectural and restrained, the geometry unmistakably of its period.

The conversion has been carried out with care. The original pin mechanism was removed and a 14k yellow gold light rope chain added, finishing at 15.75 inches — a length suited equally to wearing alone or as an anchor in a layered stack. 

The diamond is a single cut — a cutting style predating the modern brilliant, with a reduced facet arrangement optimized for the hand-cutting technology of the early twentieth century.
