Art Deco Child's Hinged Bangle Bracelet, Engraved White Gold Shell, c. 1920s
This Art Deco bangle bracelet is made for little wrists. This childs size bangle is beautifully made. The clasp opens with a hinge and snaps securely. This bracelet has a beveled edge and has been hand engraved with a simple design with back side plain.
From the markings by the clasp, it is stamped as 20 microns thick with a gold plating and appears to be white gold whereas gold fill is 1/2 that layer of gold plating. It does test as gold because of how thick that gold is but it is not solid gold, it is a shell of white gold over base metal.
