1.96 ct Oval Sapphire Engagement Ring in 14k Yellow Gold, Pear and Round Diamond Shoulders, Size 7
A 1.96 carat oval sapphire, deep and evenly saturated blue, sits in four slender prongs above an open basket. The stone is eye clean, and at 8.40 x 5.99 mm it covers the finger like a much larger gem.
On each shoulder, a pear-shaped diamond points toward the sapphire, followed by two round brilliants that taper into the band. The six diamonds total 0.25 carats: enough light to frame the blue without competing with it.
The ring is new, made in 14k yellow gold, and the warm metal pushes the sapphire's color deeper than white metal would. It sits 7.2 mm off the finger, low enough for daily wear, and the plain polished band narrows to 1.9 mm, leaving room for a wedding band to sit flush beside it.
