Some stones stop you in your tracks. At the Tucson Gem Show, these Malayan garnets did exactly that.

Their color defies easy description — not quite coral, not quite peach, not quite pink — but a saturated, vivid orangey-pink that catches light with a brilliance uncommon in the garnet family. Malayan garnets, a rare pyrope-spessartine hybrid, are prized precisely for this: a warmth that reads alive on the skin, shifting with every movement, every angle, every mood. 

We set them simply, and intentionally. Four-prong basket settings in 14k yellow gold frame each stone cleanly, letting the color speak without interruption. The threader wire drops a full two inches at the back while keeping a delicate half-inch presence at the front — wearable as a classic drop for everyday elegance.
