A luminous relic of the Victorian age, this antique Etruscan Revival crescent moon pendant glows with the warm depth of 15k yellow gold and the quiet confidence of a piece that has outlasted centuries. Originally crafted as a brooch, it has been thoughtfully upcycled into a pendant — the original pin findings repurposed into the bail, honoring its history while giving it new life for the modern wearer.
The outer edge of the crescent is adorned with hand-applied granulation beads and delicate scrollwork, hallmarks of the Etruscan Revival style that swept through Victorian jewelry between the 1860s and 1890s. Inspired by ancient Etruscan goldsmithing techniques rediscovered in archaeological digs across Italy, these pieces were considered among the most artistically significant jewels of their era.
The hollow construction keeps the pendant light and wearable despite its impressive size, and the natural patina that has developed over more than a century speaks to its authentic age and provenance.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE The Etruscan Revival movement was ignited by the excavations of ancient Etruscan tombs in Italy during the mid-19th century. Jewelers — most famously Castellani of Rome — sought to reproduce the mysterious granulation technique of the ancients, applying tiny gold beads to surfaces with precision that modern metallurgists still study today. Victorian collectors prized these pieces as wearable art and a connection to a civilization 2,500 years removed. An authentic antique example in 15k gold is an increasingly rare find.

Rings
The majority of our rings are one-of-a-kind. If you would like to order a ring in a specific size, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Helping you find the perfect fit is our priority. There is a flat fee of $60 to size down. The sizing-up cost varies based on width of the ring and the amount of material required.
Keep in mind that finger sizes fluctuate due to factors such as temperature and time of day. Rings with an open space under the mounting, as well as contour bands, may fit differently than fully round rings.
Ring sizings take 3 weeks before they ship.

Our one-of-a-kind items are only available "as is.” We are happy to discuss the options for remaking a similar piece in a different metal to your specifications—it's one of our specialties.
