There is a particular kind of jewelry that carries history not once but twice — worn in one era, reimagined in another, and made more extraordinary for the journey. This pendant began as an Edwardian brooch, likely pinned to the bodice of a silk evening gown in the first years of the twentieth century. Today it arrives as something new: a wearable statement piece that bears every hallmark of its distinguished origins while finding its place in a modern wardrobe.
The conversion has been executed with the care this piece deserves. The scroll design — fluid, symmetrical, thoroughly Edwardian in its reference to ribbon and garland motifs — remains fully intact. Nothing has been lost. A bail has been added so that the piece moves as a pendant.
The diamond complement is generous and varied with rose cuts and old mine-cut diamonds totaling 0.71 cts.

The Belle Époque and Edwardian periods were closely related times of peace, prosperity, and artistic expression. Their jewelry reflects these values, with a focus on light, delicate designs, precious materials, and elegant motifs. The primary difference lies in the geographic and cultural lens through which these trends were expressed, with the Belle Époque emphasizing Parisian flair and Art Nouveau, and the Edwardian era showcasing a more refined and luxurious British style, with its specific love of bows and dog collars.
